House Church

God’s love at large – Breaking down church walls through House Church

On Sundays and at other times through the week we gather together in our church building, but we do not only want Church that gathers in a central point but for church together in various places throughout the community, so we are looking to encourage and develop ‘House Church’, smaller groups that meet in people’s homes throughout the week.

House Church is not just a gathering, a group coming together for convenience or self benefit, it’s a gathering of people under a common call and mission, a like minded, single hearted, mutually supporting gathering coming together, moving forward to fulfil a common mission (a co-mission) that of bringing God’s kingdom into our towns through sacrificial love and service.

House Churches give great opportunity for our Christianity to be real in meaningful relationships, not just ‘bumping’ into each other on a Sunday service, our life in God together has to be our main thing.

In a larger gathering it is too easy to remain anonymous, in a smaller group, House Church, we want to learn how to love like Jesus did, to operate in God grace and power like Jesus did and to reach out to those ‘outside’ like Jesus did.

Being part of the Engine House is to receive an invitation to be a part of a smaller groups as well that we call House Church, mini-church down your street.
