We live and seek to grow to be a people of Jesus lovers, passionate to take time in his presence and hungry for more of God in their lives, knowing that the whole purpose of life is to:

Glorify God and enjoy him forever

A number of years ago the Engine House developed a room dedicated to spending time in God’s presence, we call it the Prayer Room, not primarily a room where we offer God words and requests, but primarily a place where we send time in God’s presence, loving him and receiving his love, worshipping him and being touched by his glory, listening to him and being filled with his life, praising him and being filled with his joy.  

Our heart and vision is that the Prayer Room is not just for the Engine House but a space for Cornwall to encounter the life enduing, purpose giving, power encountering, presence of our awesome and wonderful Father God.

We are a church family that believe’s that our deepest significance as human beings is to pursue the first and greatest commandment Jesus gives us, found in the Bible – Matthew chapter 20 verses  37 to 38:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul with all your mind”.

No one is more deserving of our attention and affection than Jesus, who though himself perfect still chose to die on the cross for us, the remedy for all human failings.  

In this pursuit of loving God we discover his love for us and our identity in him.  When we realise how much God loves us we are then able to live out the second greatest command found in Matthew chapter 22 verse 39 

“Love your neighbour as yourself”.

This is what we call living real love.
